This Privacy Policy describes how DayMark ("the App", "the Service") handles your information. DayMark does not require an account and does not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking services.
The events you create (title, date, category, emoji, and reminder settings) are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to us or to any server — there is no cloud account or backup, so it stays on your device and is shared with the home screen widget only through your device's local app storage.
Deleting an event in the app removes it immediately. Uninstalling the app removes all of this data from your device.
If you choose to add an event to your device's calendar, the App requests calendar permission to create that entry. This only happens when you explicitly enable it for a specific event, and the calendar entry is created directly on your device using Apple's Calendar framework — no calendar data is sent to us.
When you use the "Share Event" feature, the App generates a countdown image and requests permission to save it to your photo library so you can share it. The App does not read or access your existing photos.
Event reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using local notifications. We do not operate a push notification server and do not collect a push token or any notification-related data.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple's App Store and managed using RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier and purchase/transaction information necessary to verify your subscription status across app launches — it does not receive your name, email, or event data. You can review RevenueCat's own privacy practices at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/.
The App does not use any social login, advertising network, or analytics/tracking SDK. RevenueCat, described above, is the only third-party service the App relies on.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children, as it does not collect personal information from any user in the first place.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
